Terms of service

These terms govern access to and use of CortexLex together with the service order accepted by the customer.
01

1. Parties and contract documents

“CortexLex” means the individual or legal entity identified as provider in the service order. “Customer” is the firm or professional accepting that order. The order, these terms, DPA and incorporated policies form the agreement; an express commercial term in the order controls a conflict.

02

2. Service and license

During the term, CortexLex grants a limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable right to use contracted modules, seats and limits. Reasonable improvements will not materially reduce committed functions during a paid period.

03

3. Account and users

Customer administers memberships, permissions and firm data, keeps information current and protects credentials and devices. It must report unauthorized access and remove users who no longer require it.

04

4. Data and confidentiality

Customer retains rights in its content and data. CortexLex processes them to provide, protect and support the service under documented instructions, the privacy notice and DPA. Both parties use reasonable safeguards for confidential information.

05

5. Professional use

CortexLex is operational software and does not provide legal, accounting or tax advice. Customer reviews documents, deadlines, calculations, communications and decisions before use or filing.

06

6. Acceptable use

Unauthorized access, malware, resource abuse, impersonation, rights violations, control evasion and automatic filing without review are prohibited. The acceptable use policy is part of these terms.

07

7. Fees, activation and renewal

The pricing page and checkout state currency, price, period, included users and monthly or annual billing interval. Subscription payments are processed through a secure payment provider; CortexLex does not store full card details. Amounts exclude taxes unless stated. CortexLex is not tax invoicing software. Price changes are communicated before renewal and do not change paid periods.

08

8. Availability, support and changes

Channels, hours, maintenance and service objectives appear in the order or applicable documentation. Maintenance, security, force majeure or third parties may interrupt service; notice will be provided when reasonable.

09

9. Suspension, cancellation and refunds

Access may be suspended for security risk, prohibited use or non-payment under contracted grace periods. Renewal cancellation and refund requests follow the published refund and cancellation policy. Termination applies disclosed export and retention windows, followed by deletion or anonymization unless law requires retention.

010

10. Intellectual property

CortexLex and licensors retain software, brand, design and documentation rights. Feedback may improve the product without disclosing confidential information. Customer warrants it may upload and process its content.

011

11. Warranties and liability

The service is provided with reasonable professional care. To the extent allowed, legal outcomes and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. Exclusions, limits, insurance and remedies are defined by the order and applicable law.

012

12. Law, changes and contact

The order identifies entity, address, governing law and dispute mechanism. Material changes receive reasonable notice. Legal inquiries: [email protected].

Review before launch

The operating entity, jurisdiction, liability limits and tax treatment must be confirmed by counsel and reflected in the order before contracting customers.
